The single-season home run mark of Roger Maris had stood for 37 years. In the summer of '98, Mark McGwire and Sammy Sosa launched an all-out assault on baseball's most sacred single-season record. Fittingly, Sosa was in right field and Maris' kids were in the stands when McGwire blasted #62 to make history.  Watch the game >
