May 31: OF (left hip soreness) scratched from lineup
Prior to Friday night’s game in Boston, Canha was scratched from the lineup due to left hip soreness. He was evaluated and tested by team doctors, but no additional details were available postgame. Manager A.J. Hinch said that Canha informed him pregame that things were not feeling right, forcing him to adjust the lineup.

“He told me he didn’t think he could go,” said Hinch. “We’ll see. He’s day to day. He was seen by the doctors, and we’ll see how he feels tomorrow. He’s unlikely to be in the lineup but he should be available.”
