Phillies 2024 Urban Youth Academy graduates who will play college ball to be honored at ‘National Letter of Intent Signing Night’

On Monday, May 13, at 7:00 p.m. area high school seniors who are part of the Phillies Urban Youth Academy will sign letters of intent to play college baseball and softball at a National Letter of Intent Signing Night. The celebratory event, hosted by the Phillies Youth Baseball & Softball Development team, will take place in the Yard at Citizens Bank Park with families and coaches of the honored players in attendance.

“We are extremely proud of our 2024 Phillies Urban Youth Academy graduates,” said Phillies Director of Youth Baseball & Softball Development Jon Joaquin. “As they get ready for the next level of play with college ball, we look forward to honoring these talented student-athletes for all their hard work, determination and grit during their time with the Academy.”

The Phillies Urban Youth Academy provides free, year-round instruction to players in Philadelphia. The Academy is comprised of outdoor and indoor facilities: the Academy baseball and softball fields at FDR Park and the Ryan Howard Training Center at the Marian Anderson Recreation Center.
